I'll remember to post them one day. I never have them with me when I think about it.
Also, we have made it to The Lich King! Hopefully he will go down soon. Posted by: Akemi
Progression Updates
2-1-2010
Since I am such a slacker and keep forgetting to post news, I will catch you all up on what we have been up to since our last update...
On the ICC front, we have knocked out all content that is currently available. Putricide and Blood Queen did not deter us as they have other guilds. Once we figured out the mechanics and made adjustments, we got them down with no issues. On top of this, we are already doing fairly well with some of the new achievements for this zone. Next stop, Sindragosa and Arthas.
In the last few months, we have also put some time in on some older content that we just did not have a lot of time on due to newer content coming in. Algalon and Yogg+0 are now pushing up daisies.
Algalon himself was a very fun fight. It is one of those "if everyone does what they are supposed to" fights, and we executed it flawlessly. I really enjoyed this encounter due to the sheer amount of damage that Al can still dish out.
Now as for Yogg+0, I absolutely hated this fight. There are so many things that can go wrong with a lot of RNG throughout the encounter. Do you get a good brain phase? Does the same person keep getting shafted on the sanity reduction abilites? Does an add suddenly spawn right on top of someone and squish them before anything can be done? I hate RNG fights. Fortunately, we pulled this one off making us the 2nd guild on Aggramar to do so on 10man.
Stay tuned for more (probably belated) updates as we work on the final wing of ICC and start on hard modes. Posted by: Quillion
Next stop.... Icecrown Citadel!
12-8-2009
Over the weekend, we finished off our goal of achieving Tribute to Dedicated Insanity. Anub was dead set on preventing us from knocking this out, but, as always, our team did not give up even when the fight looked like it was going to go South. After previously getting shafted 2 times due to gear that "should" have been accepted for the achievement and a couple of bad luck runs, the achievement is finally in our grasp. Grats to all on pulling off this feat and becoming the 2nd guild on Aggramar to accomplish this. It was a job well done and well deserved.
I would also personally like to thank all of our core raiders for your aid in assisting me with finally getting mount number 99 and 100 for the Mountain of Mounts achievement. Thanks guys! I could not have done it without you! Your help was greatly appreciated.
Today is also the day that ICC goes live. We will not have a chance to head in until Friday, so stay tuned for our forthcoming progression updates and our goal of getting back to our number 1 "10-man strict" ranking on the server. We were shafted on this due to changes to how Guildox calculates this rating shortly after the release of ToC due to assisting some friends who were short on members with a ToC25 normal clear. We WILL reclaim our spot and hold onto it with a tight grip!

ToC and Ulduar updates!
9-14-2009
Finally have some time to post some updates. Things have been quite busy in Purg-land. To sum up the past events, we have now gotten all Ulduar hard modes out of the way except for Firefighter and a LOT of progress in ToC + ToC Heroic. Add this to the extensive list of achievements we decided to play around with just for kicks. Expect news in the very near future on the completion of the Proto Drake Achievement.
And now for the recap of the bigs ones....
We were the first guild on Aggramar to unlock the Champion of Ulduar achievement. This is the new Undying achievement of old. Its a little bit easier this time around, but the funny thing is some of these were unlocked on the hard mode versions of the fights which is no cakewalk. Though this happened quite a few weeks back, grats to all on the titles!
Knock-Knock-Knock on Wood.... I simply love chaos. There is nothing more fun to me than a fight where #@!% can hit the fan any given second. Add to that little plants that love to run around and blow people up. MAN, I love this fight. The only thing I hate are the stringent dps requirements that occur at our gear level. Challenging and fun!
One Light in the Darkness.... Oh how I detest luck-based encounters. The success on this for a 10-man equipped guild hangs in the balance of who gets constricted, who gets pelted by corruptors, and where the adds spawn. I will say that this achievement was frustrating, but at the same time it felt good to get it out of the way. 25man guilds will tell you that its EZ-Mode, but I want to see them do it in the gear level thats intended.
3-D.... We neglected this for a very long time. I promised everyone then when we got One Light out of the way, we would celebrate with knocking this out as well. Grats on the titles and super grats to Circyn on his well-deserved drake mount (even though we had to force him to take it)!
ToC has become our new playground. In normal mode, we rocked the instance by downing each boss within 1-3 attempts upon their initial release. We even managed to knock out a few of the achievements for the instance.
ToC Heroic has also been very good for us. We succeeded in being the first 10man strict guild on the server to defeat Anub and managed to do so before most of the other "big boy" guilds. In fact, only 2 other guilds have succeeded in accomplishing this by the point we had. All of this accomplished in a mere 8 hour raid week. Not too shabby! Sadly, we were 1 attempt off of getting Tribute to Mad Skill which we should have had if it were not to an unruly server. Oh well, next week it is ours!

Ulduar Update - Yogg-Saron slain!
5-18-2009
The subject says it all... Our brave crew set out once again to attempt to stave off the madness that was infecting the minds of all that enter the gates of Ulduar. After much gnashing of teeth and drinking of booze, Yogg's wicked schemes were foiled.
Anyone who has pulled off this victory will tell you that you will actually feel a sense of achievement from downing this guy, unlike previous bosses in this expansion. This encounter is downright frustrating as the simplest thing going wrong will quickly turn the tides in Yogg's favor. This fight reminds me so much of C'thun that it's not even funny.
So what all can go wrong? Quite a lot... In phase one, the biggest annoyance is being MC'd into a cloud RIGHT as the MC wears off. Phase two... Man, there is so much that can go wrong its not even funny. Lag can play a massive role in the success of this phase. 1 portal dps lagging and not making it out in time can spell the end of all of your hard work. Getting constricted or apathied at bad times is also extremely irritating. As far as phase 3 goes, this is probably the easier of the 3 phases. However, Immortal Guardians popping up in bad locations can be really interesting. All I have to say is "Thank you, Hodir!" for you saved my butt a few times.
Now, as for the loot....
Chestguard of the Wayward Vanquisher - Synthian (4-piece bonus)
Kingsbane - Notos
Leggings of the Insatiable - Quillion
Congrats to all in attendance, as well as all who put in their time and effort to make this kill possible. Next step, hard mode victories! Posted by: Quillion
Ulduar Week 3 - The General has met his match!
5-7-2009
The kills keep coming in! Week 3 was good to us in regards to the clear, but unfortunately our curse of "If it's leather, it will drop" continues. Grats to all of our druids for once again getting decked out before everyone else hehe.
After this week of unnecessary hotfixes to Uld bosses (PLEASE Blizz, don't nerf this place more), we stepped in and cleared everything up to Mimiron on the first night in record time. The second night saw us downing Mimiron (God, I love that guy) in 3 attempts which I figure is really good due to the chaotic nature of the fight and all of the one-shot death abilities he has.
We finally got to work on General Vezax and downed the giant monstrosity after a grueling series of battles. I will say that I absolutely love the trash prior to Vezax even though many will claim I am insane for saying so. I love that it requires a lot of crowd control and, sadly, a bit of luck that you do not get feared into the other packs when you first start your clear of his room.
As for the General himself, this fight is a PITA for mana users as I am sure many of you are aware. Between constant cries of "I need a crystal" and "OMG he's not snared while in PWN-mode", he finally fell to our combined might and gave up the goods.
On Sunday, we finally got to say hello to Mr. Yoggie. While we were short-handed sadly, our brave 9 that were online did not let numbers deter our pursuit of an end to the madness that is Ulduar. We have our system down and hope to have him gasping for his last breath on our next Uld clear barring Mother's Day not interfering.
Once again, great work to all in attendance. Also, congrats on our continued reign at being ranked #4 for Ulduar 10. Who says you have to have 25man gear to pull this place off? Now let's see if we can kick some of the bigger guilds out of the way in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more Uld updates!

Ulduar Week 2 - The Keepers are free!
4-27-2009
11 out of 14 bosses down. We now count amongst the recently deceased the following bosses: Auriaya, Thorim, Freya, and Mimiron. The only remaining bosses are General Vezax, Yogg, and the optional insane-mode boss, Algalon.
Auriaya - Once you get the positions down, this fight is a cinch. It can get a little hectic, but she isn't difficult at all.
Thorim - Once we got our groups split properly, this fight was a cakewalk. We downed him the first time we aggroed him.
Freya - Now this is a crazy fight. The add waves are actually pretty easy once you figure out what you want to do, but the exploding ones are truly fun.
Mimiron - Wow... This guy is insane. There is so much stuff to keep up with during the 4 phases. Phase 1-3 are pretty simple as its fairly pattern-based. Phase 4? Ugh... This is where you will beat your head against the wall begging him to die. There are so many things firing out at one time that it's sometimes overwhelming to watch for ability b because you are currently avoiding ability a. Tons of 1 shot death abilities make this one of the more challenging fights we have seen in Uld thus far. Oh yeah! Just for kicks, Circ pushed the button. Let me give you a little advice. DO NOT push the button...
On a related note... Blizzard's hotfixes to some of the bosses seem a bit much. The beginning parts of Uld felt challenging the first week, but this week was entirely too easy. We one shot everything up to Hodir that we had cleared the first week of release. Hodir seemed a bit harder this week than he was on our first kill weekend, but everything else has been fairly wussified. Ignis is a fricken' declawed kitten now. I hope they do not over-simplify this zone and make it the snooze-fest that is Naxx. The challenge is what makes this zone fun. Posted by: Quillion
Purgatory steps foot into Ulduar
4-22-2009
A little belated, but here goes. In our initial weekend of raiding Uld, we managed to down 7 bosses. Our kill list included Flame Leviathan (1-shot), Razorscale (1-shot), XT-002 Deconstructor, Ignis the Furnace Master, the Assembly of Iron, Kologarn, and Hodir (9-manned). I must say that Blizzard did a fantastic job with Ulduar. It is not boring at all. I love the fact that everything requires coordination rather than simply being a tank and spank. Unfortunately, in all of the excitement, we forgot to take screenshots. I'll remember to get some this weekend when we go back for more shinies.
Also, we decided to step foot into Vaults again to give the new boss a shot while we awaited some late loggers due to queues. With 9 people, we knocked off the new boss in 2 attempts. All I can say is this guy is MUCH more entertaining than his compatriot.
Not a bad weekend at all. Great work all! I look forward to our continued progress in the wackiness that is 3.1! Stay tuned for more boss kill updates! Posted by: Quillion
More achievements knocked out!
2-23-2009
This weekend we knocked out the "Shocking!", "Spore Loser" and "They All Go Down Together" achievements which finished off all of the 10-man Naxx achievements for the majority of our core raiding team. I must say that "Spore Loser" and "Shocking!" were a heck of a lot easier than I expected them to be. "They All Go Down Together" was insanely fun and somewhat intense to get the timing and mid-fight repositioning down to make them all die within seconds of one another. I believe we fell the final one just 2 seconds after the first one fell.
On the Obsidian Sanctum 10-man front, we finally had things go our way as far as raid composition goes and got our first shot at doing 2 drake Sarth. After 3 attempts and minor tweaking here and there, Sarth and his companions fell to our raid group. We shall begin working on 3 drake Sarth in the coming weeks once we do some more tweaking and practicing with other drake combos.
Grats to all and excellent work on knocking out even more achievements! 3-4 achievements left to go! Posted by: Quillion
Achievements Galore!
2-16-2009
This Friday, we stepped into Naxx with a daunting task before us. Due to internet and power issues of a few our our members, we had only 8 members available to raid with. However, our brave raiders decided not to let this deter us since we had a decent group makeup to pull the raid off. We went in with the Undying achievement in mind and were not going to be satisfied until it was proudly displayed over our heads. Previously, we have bad luck hitting us on the final encounter where something always happens to causes the title to slip through our fingers, once with a mere 20% remaining on Kel. This time, the stars aligned and our crew of 8 walked out with three shiny new achievements: "Subtraction" (less than 9 on Thaddius), "The Dedicated Few" (less than 9 for all bosses), and "The Undying" (no deaths on any boss fights in one clear). Congrats to all for this feat! Only 3 Naxx achievements left!
Pumped from our previous night's success, we decided to do the same within the Eye of Eternity and Obsidian Sanctum. Our crew of 8 stepped in and cleared out the "A Poke in the Eye" and "Less is More" achievements. We decided to up the ante a bit on Sartharion as he just is not challenging by himself. We decided to get the achievement with 8 people with 1 drake up. Once again, grats to all of the folks who helped to pull all of this off with 0 issues. We ended our night with a 25-man OS with 10 people pulling it off without a hitch. The perfect end to a perfect weekend!

9 Man 25man Sarth!
2-2-2009
We didn't have the numbers to do the two drake 10 man Sarth, so we ended up just doing a 9 man 1 drake Sarth. We decided to also give the 25 man version a shot with 9 people. We wiped at like 3% the first time, but killed him the 2nd go. Oh we 9 Man'd Malygos too. We tried 8 man, but we ended up 1% short. He had like 150k hps left when we wiped our first go.

Little update
1-27-2009
The past three weeks we have been doing 10 man Sarth with 1 drake. We plan to move to two drakes this weekend. We have also continued to do 25 man sarth with our little raid group. Sometimes taking 12 and sometimes 11. So far we haven't wiped on it yet. This past weekend we took 11, but one guy died at the beginning, so we basically did it with 10 people. We also did it with 3 healers instead of 4 this time. Posted by: Akemi
11(12) Man 25man Sartharion!!
1-10-2009
We did a 25 man Sartharion with 11 people. We had 12 people in the raid, but he was offline the whole fight. Grats everyone!
We also did the 10 man with 1 drake up. We hope to move to two drakes in the coming weeks.
Screenshot coming monday...although it wont look much different than the 10 man screenshot. Posted by: Akemi
Little late on posting this, but Malygos dead!
12-30-2008
It took us a few attempts, but the weekend before Christmas we downed Malygos for the first time. This means we have officially killed all 10 man content.
Grats everyone on some awesome raids. It only took us two real weekends of raiding to clear all the 10 man content. Posted by: Akemi
Naxx hath been owned!!
12-15-2008
A week ago we set foot into the 10 man Sartharion for the first time as a guild, and we got him in 1 shot.
After that we went to Archavon the Stone Watcher, and we got him in 1 shot too.
This weekend we strolled into Naxx and destroyed it!! We 1 shot every boss up til Sapphiron. Sapphiron took us 2 tries, and we got Kel'thuzad on the 4th try.
Many loots were had. Far too many to list, or for me to remember.
We also gave Malygos a shot. We got him to 7%, but sadly didn't down him. We have the first two phases down, we just have to get better at flying the drakes. We should have him down next week.
Everyone did a great job this weekend. We look forward to refining our runs to get them done quicker. Since we won't have to explain the fights anymore, next week's raids should go much quicker. Posted by: Akemi
First WOTLK raid this weekend!
12-2-2008
We will be setting foot into the Obsidian Sanctum as a guild for the first time this weekend. We have killed Sartharion before. It was with only 6 of us and 4 friends, so that really don't count.
We have been running heroics like crazy gearing up for the raids to come. We hope to be in nax at the latest in two weeks. Many of our members already have experience in nax, so we believe our progression will go smoothly.
I look forward to posting our kill shot of Sartharion later this week. We are recruiting 1 dps and 1 healer. Check out the Recruitment tab or click here. Posted by: Akemi
Finally some new news!!
11-19-2008
Well, Wrath of the Lich King was released Nov 13th, so we finally have new content we can do. We are looking forward to being able to do the raid with our 10 man crew.
Also, Congrats Averna (formerly Stingger), on being the 1st Level 80 in the guild, and 2nd Level 80 Deathknight. Posted by: Akemi
Zul'Jin DEAD! x2
6-7-2008
Again, i'm late adding the news, but Zul'Jin is officially on farm mode. I'll add more info about it when I get some time. Here is a pic of the 1st kill i think. Posted by: Akemi
More ZA Progress!
5-5-2008
This last Saturday we took another trip into ZA aiming for chests. We changed up our kill order a bit by going eagle, bear, dragonhawk, lynx. We managed to get to the 3rd timed chest! We downed all of the first 4 bosses flawlessly! Hopefully we will get a shot at the Hex Lord this next week. Here are the loots!
Grats Notos on [item]Mojo-mender's Mask[/item]
Grats Ix [item]Shimmer-pelt Vest[/item]
Grats Zenia [item]Shadowtooth Trollskin Cuirass[/item]
Grats Hmel [item]Jungle Stompers[/item]
Grats Ix [item]Staff of Dark Mending[/item]
Grats Akemi [item]Mana Attuned Band[/item]
Grats Hydris [item]Life-step Belt[/item]

ZA Progress!
4-29-2008
This past weekend we managed to get the first two timed chests. We made our way to Nalorakk and smooshed him very quickly on our first go, although hes not really that hard. We then procceeded to the eagle boss and smoothly made our way through the gauntlet and quickly downed Akil'zon flawlessly. That was it for the night. We are making some great progress. Maybe it will be the third timed chest next week.
Grats DE on [item]Fury[/item]
Grats Akemi on [item]Shadowcaster's Drape[/item]
Grats Incubi on [item]Akil'zon's Talonblade[/item]
Grats Hydris on [item]Staff of Dark Mending[/item]

Jan'alai Down!!
4-1-2008
After many repair bills, we got him!
Grats Eloria on [item]Footpads of Madness[/item]
After downing Jan'alai, we made our way to give the Hex Lord a go. As I found out...a little prematurely, you cannot get close enough to shackle the adds without aggroing them, so we wiped. We did see just how much the shadow volley's and the pally soul siphon hurt. That was it for the night after the wipe since it was already late.

Little late, but Halazzi (Lynx Boss) Down!
3-11-2008
The first kill was done with our fearless hunter dead near the beginning, so we ended up having to kill him with no tranq shot and 1 big dps down. It was a fun kill, and quite a roller coaster ride for our tanks and healers.
Grats Notos on first kill loots of [item]Avalanche Leggings[/item]!
Grats Baronny on 2nd kill loots of [item]Robe of Departed Spirits[/item]!
We can now down 3 of the bosses somewhat regularly. Next the Dragonhawk! Posted by: Akemi
